In value terms, uncooked pasta imports declined modestly to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 16%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, leveling off in the following year.

Iraq, with a CAGR of +33.8%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average uncooked pasta import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, rising by 8.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Global import price peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
