The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when exports increased by 34%. The exports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Germany (X tons) was the main destination for aluminium alloy tube exports from Greece, with a 50% share of total exports. Moreover, aluminium alloy tube exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Austria (X kg), fivefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Denmark (X kg), with a 7.8% share.

Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, aluminium alloy tube imports soared to $X in 2022. In general, imports showed a buoyant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 88%. Imports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

Imports by Country

In 2022, Italy (X tons) constituted the largest aluminium alloy tube supplier to Greece, accounting for a 67% share of total imports. Moreover, aluminium alloy tube imports from Italy exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Bulgaria (X tons), sixfold.
