Chandelier Market Size in Greece

In 2022, the Greek chandelier market was finally on the rise to reach $X for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. In general, consumption saw buoyant growth. Over the period under review, the market reached the maximum level at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, consumption remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, the largest markets for chandelier exported from Greece were Norway ($X), Cyprus ($X) and Romania ($X), together accounting for 32% of total exports. Bulgaria, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Belgium, Serbia, Hungary, Lithuania, Austria, Poland and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 32%.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Norway ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 76% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, chandelier imports fell remarkably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 47% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then reduced markedly in the following year.

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of chandelier to Greece, with a 42% share of total imports. Moreover, chandelier imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Bulgaria (X units), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Italy (X units), with a 7.5% share.
