In 2021, Bulgaria (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of chicken meat to Greece, accounting for a 41% share of total imports. Moreover, chicken meat imports from Bulgaria exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the Netherlands (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Italy (X tons), with a 10% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Bulgaria totaled +3.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the Netherlands (-1.0% per year) and Italy (-4.7% per year).
