Cyprus (X tons) was the main destination for non-alloy steel i-sections exports from Greece, with a 61% share of total exports. Moreover, non-alloy steel i-sections exports to Cyprus exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Albania (X tons), twofold. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a noticeable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 59%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, non-alloy steel i-sections imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, saw a noticeable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 85%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

Turkey (X tons), Spain (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main suppliers of non-alloy steel i-sections imports to Greece, together accounting for 90% of total imports.
