The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +106.9% against 2012 indices. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, plastic household ware exports expanded sharply to $X in 2021. In general, total exports indicated a buoyant increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.8% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +59.9% against 2016 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 19% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.

Cyprus (X tons), Israel (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main destinations of plastic household ware exports from Greece, together comprising 38% of total exports. Belgium, Germany, Romania, the Netherlands, Spain, the UK, Denmark, Bulgaria, France and Ireland lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 45%.

China (X tons), Turkey (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main suppliers of plastic household ware imports to Greece, together accounting for 61% of total imports. These countries were followed by Bulgaria, Belgium, Denmark, Israel, the Netherlands, India, Germany, Spain, Austria and France, which together accounted for a further 32%.
