Serbia (X tons), Turkey (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main destinations of cattle hide and skin exports from Greece, together accounting for 80% of total exports. These countries were followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia and Spain, which together accounted for a further 17%.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Bulgaria (with a CAGR of +53.9%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, cattle hide and skin imports dropped sharply to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, recorded a deep downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 109% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Italy (X tons), South Africa (X tons) and Albania (X tons) were the main suppliers of cattle hide and skin imports to Greece, with a combined 95% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for South Africa (with a CAGR of +4.4%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline.

In value terms, Italy ($X), South Africa ($X) and Albania ($X) appeared to be the largest cattle hide and skin suppliers to Greece, with a combined 90% share of total imports.
