In 2021, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in the Greek telecommunications instrument market, when its value decreased by -18% to $X. Over the period under review, consumption, however, recorded a buoyant expansion. In 2021, telecommunications instrument exports from Greece surged to X units, with an increase of 85% compared with the previous year. In general, exports recorded a mild increase. The exports peaked at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, telecommunications instrument exports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports enjoyed a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 172%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by 146%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X units in 2020, and then fell sharply in the following year.

In value terms, telecommunications instrument imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a modest expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.9% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +75.4% against 2017 indices.
