Headphone Market Size in Hong Kong SAR, China

In 2022, after four years of growth, there was decline in the Hong Kong headphone market, when its value decreased by -1.8% to $X. Overall, consumption, however, recorded a drastic downturn. Headphone consumption peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, consumption failed to regain momentum.

China (X units), the United States (X units) and Japan (X units) were the main destinations of headphone exports from Hong Kong SAR, with a combined 41% share of total exports. The United Arab Emirates, Germany, India, the UK, Vietnam, the Czech Republic, France, Hungary, the Netherlands and the Philippines lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 32%.

The average headphone export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, rising by 4.8% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 44% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
