Apricot Market Size in Hungary

The exports peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, apricot exports rose rapidly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a abrupt shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 92%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

Austria (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons) and Slovakia (X tons) were the main destinations of apricot exports from Hungary, with a combined 88% share of total exports.

Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, apricot imports dropped significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 79% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then declined remarkably in the following year.

Spain (X tons), Italy (X tons) and Portugal (X tons) were the main suppliers of apricot imports to Hungary, with a combined 89% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Portugal (with a CAGR of +112.8%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest apricot suppliers to Hungary were Spain ($X), Italy ($X) and Portugal ($X), together comprising 87% of total imports.
