The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by 74%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, appliance part brush exports declined modestly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, recorded a prominent increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by 141% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Belgium (X units) was the main destination for appliance part brush exports from Hungary, with a 61% share of total exports. Moreover, appliance part brush exports to Belgium exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the United States (X units), sixfold. Switzerland (X units) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 7.1% share.

In 2022, approx. X units of brushes constituting parts of appliances were imported into Hungary; dropping by -58.3% compared with 2021 figures. Overall, imports showed a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 58% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, appliance part brush imports fell markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports showed a perceptible downturn.
