In general, imports, however, saw a abrupt contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 24%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, frozen cuttlefishes imports rose sharply to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a deep reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 22% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
