The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 73%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, animal guts exports rose sharply to $X in 2022. In general, total exports indicated a notable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports decreased by -24.4% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by 64%. The exports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, animal guts imports into Hungary skyrocketed to X tons, increasing by 21% against the previous year. Overall, total imports indicated a perceptible increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +22.3% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 45%.
