Moreover, industrial robot exports to Austria exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, North Macedonia (X units), sixfold. Germany (X units) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 9.1% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Austria totaled +4.3%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: North Macedonia (0.0% per year) and Germany (+5.3% per year).

In value terms, Austria ($X) remains the key foreign market for industrial robots for multiple uses exports from Hungary, comprising 73% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Germany ($X), with an 11% share of total exports. It was followed by Ukraine, with an 8.7% share.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 60%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, industrial robot imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, imports continue to indicate a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 66% against the previous year.
