In 2022, Spain (X tons) constituted the largest lettuce and chicory supplier to Hungary, with a 57% share of total imports. Moreover, lettuce and chicory imports from Spain exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Austria (X tons), fivefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Germany (X tons), with a 9.1% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Spain totaled +8.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+4.3% per year) and Italy (+13.9% per year).
