Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+5.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Hungary
In 2021, supplies from abroad of organo-inorganic compounds (excluding organo-sulphur compounds) increased by 90% to X tons, rising for the second year in a row after five years of decline. In general, imports, however, showed a abrupt contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 146%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, organo-inorganic compounds imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, saw a deep contraction. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Germany (X tons) constituted the largest organo-inorganic compounds supplier to Hungary, with a 47% share of total imports. Moreover, organo-inorganic compounds imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Italy (X tons), threefold. Belgium (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with an 8.9% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Germany stood at -10.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (+97.5% per year) and Belgium (+36.5% per year).
In value terms, Germany ($X) constituted the largest supplier of organo-inorganic compounds (excluding organo-sulphur compounds) to Hungary, comprising 39% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Austria ($X), with a 9.6% share of total imports. It was followed by the UK, with an 8.6% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Germany stood at -9.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Austria (+50.5% per year) and the UK (+24.7% per year).
