In 2021, after two years of growth, there was decline in the Hungarian boiler parts market, when its value decreased by -3.8% to $X. In general, consumption, however, recorded prominent growth. Boiler parts consumption peaked at $X in 2020, and then dropped slightly in the following year.

Exports from Hungary
In 2021, approx. X tons of parts of boilers for central heating were exported from Hungary; jumping by 35% against the previous year. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a pronounced descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 65% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, boiler parts exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a mild descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 146% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Italy (X tons), Austria (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main destinations of boiler parts exports from Hungary, together comprising 91% of total exports. These countries were followed by Romania, Poland and Slovakia, which together accounted for a further 6.1%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Romania (with a CAGR of +37.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for boiler parts exported from Hungary were Italy ($X), Austria ($X) and Germany ($X), with a combined 85% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Romania, Poland and Slovakia, which together accounted for a further 5.2%.
Romania, with a CAGR of +21.2%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average boiler parts export price amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 3.4% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated noticeable growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, boiler parts export price decreased by -2.7% against 2018 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the average export price increased by 60%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2015 to 2021, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Romania ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+4.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Hungary
In 2021, purchases abroad of parts of boilers for central heating increased by 32% to X tons, rising for the second year in a row after four years of decline. In general, imports posted a modest increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 40% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, boiler parts imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, total imports indicated a moderate increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +68.4% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 64% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Germany (X tons), Austria (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main suppliers of boiler parts imports to Hungary, with a combined 84% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Austria (with a CAGR of +7.5%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest boiler parts suppliers to Hungary were Italy ($X), Germany ($X) and Austria ($X), with a combined 78% share of total imports.
Austria, with a CAGR of +13.6%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average boiler parts import price amounted to $X per ton, growing by 2% against the previous year. Over the last nine years, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.4%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 34%. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was France ($X per ton), while the price for the Czech Republic ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovakia (+15.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
