Overall, exports, however, recorded a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by 124%. The exports peaked at X units in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, exports of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles fell rapidly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 13%. The exports peaked at $X in 2021, and then fell dramatically in the following year.

Italy (X units), France (X units) and the UK (X units) were the main destinations of exports of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles from Hungary, together comprising 43% of total exports.

Overall, imports saw a strong increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 112% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off road vehicles hit record highs at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, imports of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles dropped slightly to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +4.5% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years.
