Carob Market Size in India

The Indian carob market rose slightly to $X in 2022, increasing by 4.1% against the previous year. In general, consumption, however, enjoyed a significant expansion. Carob consumption peaked at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, consumption stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Myanmar ($X per ton) and Poland ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States ($X per ton) and Canada ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
