As a result, imports reached the peak of X units, and then reduced dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, hydraulic press imports fell remarkably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a slight slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 122% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then declined rapidly in the following year.

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of hydraulic press to India, accounting for a 72% share of total imports. Moreover, hydraulic press imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Japan (X units), sixfold.
