Egypt (X units), Tanzania (X units) and the United Arab Emirates (X units) were the main destinations of non-electric industrial furnace exports from India, with a combined 51% share of total exports.

In 2022, imports of non-electric industrial or laboratory furnaces and ovens into India surged to X units, increasing by 21% compared with the year before. Overall, imports, however, saw a abrupt descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 86% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, non-electric industrial furnace imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a deep reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 93%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest non-electric industrial furnace supplier to India, accounting for a 59% share of total imports. Moreover, non-electric industrial furnace imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Italy (X units), fourfold. Germany (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with an 11% share.

The second position in the ranking was taken by Italy ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Germany, with an 11% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China totaled -1.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (-9.1% per year) and Germany (-5.9% per year).

The import price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
