Boiler Parts Market Size in India

In 2021, after two years of growth, there was decline in the Indian boiler parts market, when its value decreased by -1.7% to $X. The market value increased at an average annual rate of +1.1% from 2012 to 2021; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Over the period under review, the market reached the maximum level at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, consumption stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, boiler parts production contracted slightly to $X in 2021 estimated in export price. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible contraction. The exports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, boiler parts exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, exports, however, recorded a drastic downturn. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

Senegal (X tons) was the main destination for boiler parts exports from India, accounting for a 45% share of total exports. Moreover, boiler parts exports to Senegal exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Uganda (X tons), fourfold. The United Arab Emirates (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 6.8% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Senegal stood at +54.6%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Uganda (+31.9% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (-3.6% per year).

In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X), Uganda ($X) and Malaysia ($X) were the largest markets for boiler parts exported from India worldwide, together accounting for 47% of total exports. These countries were followed by Senegal, Sri Lanka, the UK, the Philippines, Nepal and Kenya, which together accounted for a further 37%.

The UK, with a CAGR of +131.0%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average boiler parts export price amounted to $X per ton, which is down by -50.6% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a abrupt descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 51%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports into India

In 2021, boiler parts imports into India soared to X tons, picking up by 36% compared with the previous year. In general, imports, however, showed a sharp curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 1,124%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, boiler parts imports dropped to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a dramatic descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 1,378%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2021, Italy (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of boiler parts to India, accounting for a 85% share of total imports. Moreover, boiler parts imports from Italy exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the United Arab Emirates (X tons), more than tenfold. South Korea (X kg) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 1.6% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Italy totaled +2.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the United Arab Emirates (-12.4% per year) and South Korea (+29.5% per year).

In value terms, Italy ($X) constituted the largest supplier of parts of boilers for central heating to India, comprising 64% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the United Arab Emirates ($X), with an 11% share of total imports. It was followed by the United States, with an 8.9% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Italy amounted to -1.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the United Arab Emirates (-6.4% per year) and the United States (-57.7% per year).

In 2021, the average boiler parts import price amounted to $X per ton, dropping by -32% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 149%.
