Agricultural Appliance Market Size in Indonesia

The Indonesian agricultural appliance market shrank sharply to $X in 2021, with a decrease of -21.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, consumption, however, showed a prominent expansion. As a result, consumption reached the peak level of $X. From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Nigeria totaled +5.7%.

Export Prices by Country

The average agricultural appliance export price stood at $X per unit in 2021, falling by -21.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a abrupt downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 35% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Egypt ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Nigeria totaled $X per unit.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Egypt (+13.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Indonesia

In 2021, supplies from abroad of agricultural appliances decreased by -17.2% to X units, falling for the fifth year in a row after two years of growth. Over the period under review, imports showed a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 38% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, agricultural appliance imports declined to $X in 2021. Overall, imports showed a abrupt shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 37%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

Imports by Country

China (X units), Italy (X units) and Israel (X units) were the main suppliers of agricultural appliance imports to Indonesia, together comprising 59% of total imports. These countries were followed by Malaysia, Spain, Japan, France, Taiwan (Chinese), Australia and Thailand, which together accounted for a further 14%.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Spain (with a CAGR of +54.1%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest agricultural appliance suppliers to Indonesia were China ($X), Italy ($X) and Israel ($X), with a combined 45% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Spain, Japan, Taiwan (Chinese), France, Malaysia, Australia and Thailand, which together accounted for a further 21%.

In terms of the main suppliers, Spain, with a CAGR of +72.2%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2021, the average agricultural appliance import price amounted to $X per unit, surging by 7.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average import price increased by 65%. The import price peaked in 2021 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Spain ($X per unit), while the price for China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
