Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, chicken meat exports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, exports enjoyed a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 216%. The exports peaked in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Timor-Leste (X tons) was the main destination for chicken meat exports from Indonesia, with a 89% share of total exports. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 129%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

In 2021, Brazil (X tons) constituted the largest chicken meat supplier to Indonesia, accounting for a 58% share of total imports. The average chicken meat import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, approximately reflecting the previous year. In general, the import price showed a drastic downturn.
