In 2021, seafood meals and pellets imports into Indonesia contracted notably to X tons, falling by -21.3% against 2020 figures. In general, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 26% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then fell significantly in the following year.

In value terms, seafood meals and pellets imports fell dramatically to $X in 2021. Overall, imports recorded a deep slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 50%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, the Netherlands (X tons) constituted the largest seafood meals and pellets supplier to Indonesia, with a 41% share of total imports. Moreover, seafood meals and pellets imports from the Netherlands exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, South Korea (X tons), threefold.
