Chicken Egg Market Size in Indonesia

The Indonesian chicken egg market expanded modestly to $X in 2022, increasing by 3.7% against the previous year. In general, consumption, however, continues to indicate a prominent expansion. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 67%. In 2022, overseas purchases of chicken eggs increased by 255% to X tons, rising for the second consecutive year after four years of decline. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a drastic downturn. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

The Netherlands (X tons), Malaysia (X tons) and France (X kg) were the main suppliers of chicken egg imports to Indonesia, together accounting for 31% of total imports.
