Singapore (X units), Vietnam (X units) and South Korea (X units) were the main destinations of non-electronic hydro- and hygrometers exports from Indonesia, with a combined 96% share of total exports.

In general, the export price saw a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 110% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2021, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into Indonesia
After two years of decline, supplies from abroad of non-electronic hydro-, hygro-, psychrometers increased by 31% to X units in 2021. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a mild shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 61% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, non-electronic hydro- and hygrometers imports totaled $X in 2021. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a resilient increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.9% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 98% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of non-electronic hydro- and hygrometers to Indonesia, accounting for a 68% share of total imports. Moreover, non-electronic hydro- and hygrometers imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Singapore (X units), more than tenfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Italy (X units), with a 3.3% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from China amounted to +4.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Singapore (-9.5% per year) and Italy (-5.2% per year).
In value terms, China ($X), the United States ($X) and Singapore ($X) appeared to be the largest non-electronic hydro- and hygrometers suppliers to Indonesia, with a combined 45% share of total imports. Japan, Germany, Italy, South Korea, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan (Chinese) and the United Arab Emirates lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 30%.
Among the main suppliers, the Philippines, with a CAGR of +100.4%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The average non-electronic hydro- and hygrometers import price stood at $X per unit in 2021, shrinking by -20% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, posted a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average import price increased by 49% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2018 to 2021, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per unit), while the price for China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
