The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +69.4% against 2016 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 48% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
In value terms, non-ionic surface-active agents (excl. soap) imports surged to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.6% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Singapore (X tons) constituted the largest non-ionic surface-active agents (excl. soap) supplier to Indonesia, with a 37% share of total imports.
