Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Malaysia (X tons), Timor-Leste (X tons) and Papua New Guinea (X tons) were the main destinations of prepared mustard exports from Indonesia, with a combined 68% share of total exports. These countries were followed by the Netherlands, the United States, Singapore, Australia and Hong Kong SAR, which together accounted for a further 30%.

Imports peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, prepared mustard imports shrank to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, enjoyed a resilient expansion. The United States (X tons), Germany (X tons) and France (X tons) were the main suppliers of prepared mustard imports to Indonesia, with a combined 87% share of total imports. Oman, the Netherlands, China and Canada lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 11%.
