After two years of growth, the Indonesian spark plug market decreased by -12.8% to $X in 2022. Spark plug imports into Indonesia fell to X units in 2022, waning by -14.3% against the year before. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a perceptible expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +11.5% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of 62%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X units in 2021, and then declined in the following year.

Japan (X units), China (X units) and Singapore (X units) were the main suppliers of spark plug imports to Indonesia, with a combined 60% share of total imports. Germany, Thailand, Austria, the United States and Mexico lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 13%.
