In value terms, plastic ornamental articles exports fell to $X in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +75.5% against 2016 indices. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2021, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Algeria ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Malaysia (+8.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Indonesia
In 2022, the amount of statuettes and other ornamental articles of plastic imported into Indonesia surged to X tons, picking up by 24% compared with the previous year. Overall, imports saw a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 105%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.
In value terms, plastic ornamental articles imports reached $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 77% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
Imports by Country
In 2022, China (X tons) was the main plastic ornamental articles supplier to Indonesia, accounting for a 91% share of total imports. Moreover, plastic ornamental articles imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Singapore (X tons), more than tenfold.

Import Prices by Country
The average plastic ornamental articles import price stood at $X per ton in 2022, declining by -18.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a pronounced contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average import price increased by 56%. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($X per ton), while the price for China ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
