Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, Germany (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of hot-rolled free-cutting steel to Iran, with a 57% share of total imports. Moreover, hot-rolled free-cutting steel imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Turkey (X tons), twofold. Spain (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 9.1% share.
