In 2022, the Iranian lettuce and chicory market was finally on the rise to reach $X for the first time since 2017, thus ending a four-year declining trend. Overall, consumption, however, showed a deep contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 1,229%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
