Mango And Mangosteen Market Size in Iran

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was decline in the Iranian mango and mangosteen market, when its value decreased by -0.4% to $X. Overall, the total consumption indicated a pronounced increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.8% over the last decade. In 2022, mango and mangosteen exports from Iran fell dramatically to X tons, with a decrease of -65.7% on the previous year's figure. Overall, exports, however, recorded a remarkable increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 344%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2021, and then contracted markedly in the following year.

In value terms, mango and mangosteen exports contracted significantly to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 464%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then dropped dramatically in the following year.

Ireland (X tons), Armenia (X tons) and the UK (X tons) were the main destinations of mango and mangosteen exports from Iran, with a combined 59% share of total exports.

In 2022, imports of mangoes, mangosteens and guavas into Iran shrank rapidly to X tons, with a decrease of -32.2% against the previous year. Overall, imports saw a dramatic curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by 130% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, mango and mangosteen imports contracted dramatically to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a sharp decrease.
