The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by 290% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Uzbekistan (X units) was the main destination for non-electric industrial furnace exports from Iran, with a 78% share of total exports. Moreover, non-electric industrial furnace exports to Uzbekistan exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Germany (X units), more than tenfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Australia (X units), with a 4.5% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Uzbekistan totaled -12.6%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Germany (0.0% per year) and Australia (-14.5% per year).
In value terms, Uzbekistan ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for non-electric industrial or laboratory furnaces and ovens exports from Iran, comprising 83% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Turkey ($X), with a 5.9% share of total exports. It was followed by Australia, with a 4.9% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Uzbekistan totaled -20.2%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Turkey (+16.5% per year) and Australia (-16.4% per year).

Imports into Iran
In 2022, the amount of non-electric industrial or laboratory furnaces and ovens imported into Iran surged to X units, increasing by 145% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a slight setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 223% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, non-electric industrial furnace imports surged to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw a abrupt curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 338%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of non-electric industrial furnace to Iran, accounting for a 67% share of total imports. Moreover, non-electric industrial furnace imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Italy (X units), fivefold.
