Market Size for Plastic Hoses and Hose Fittings in Iran

The Iranian market for plastic hoses and hose fittings reduced modestly to $X in 2021, almost unchanged from the previous year. In general, consumption, however, showed a perceptible downturn. Plastic hose and hose fitting consumption peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, consumption failed to regain momentum.

Georgia (X tons), Turkey (X tons) and Armenia (X tons) were the main destinations of plastic hose and hose fitting exports from Iran, together accounting for 60% of total exports. These countries were followed by Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, Iraq and Kazakhstan, which together accounted for a further 26%.

Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 180%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, plastic hose and hose fitting imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, faced a abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 141% against the previous year.
