The UK (X tons) was the main destination for raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, and cranberry exports from Iran, with a 54% share of total exports. Moreover, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, and cranberry exports to the UK exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the United Arab Emirates (X tons), threefold. Kuwait (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 12% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to the UK stood at +96.8%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United Arab Emirates (+32.4% per year) and Kuwait (-1.9% per year).
In value terms, the UK ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and cranberries exports from Iran, comprising 58% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kuwait ($X), with a 20% share of total exports. It was followed by the United Arab Emirates, with a 14% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to the UK stood at +107.8%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kuwait (+2.6% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (+27.2% per year).
