In value terms, non-decaffeinated roasted coffee exports fell dramatically to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports recorded a mild reduction. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Canada (X kg) was the main destination for non-decaffeinated roasted coffee exports from Iran, with a 54% share of total exports. The average non-decaffeinated roasted coffee export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, surging by 56% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a pronounced decline. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+820.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Iran
Non-decaffeinated roasted coffee imports into Iran skyrocketed to X tons in 2021, jumping by 25% against 2020 figures. Overall, imports continue to indicate a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 2,305%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, non-decaffeinated roasted coffee imports expanded modestly to $X in 2021. In general, imports posted strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 1,941%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, the United Arab Emirates (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of non-decaffeinated roasted coffee to Iran, accounting for a 50% share of total imports. Moreover, non-decaffeinated roasted coffee imports from the United Arab Emirates exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Italy (X tons), threefold. Turkey (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 7.1% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from the United Arab Emirates stood at +17.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (+23.7% per year) and Turkey (+61.2% per year).
In value terms, the largest non-decaffeinated roasted coffee suppliers to Iran were the United Arab Emirates ($X), Italy ($X) and Turkey ($X), with a combined 61% share of total imports. Bulgaria lagged somewhat behind, comprising a further 3.2%.
In terms of the main suppliers, Bulgaria, with a CAGR of +149.8%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average non-decaffeinated roasted coffee import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, dropping by -16.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a perceptible decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 39% against the previous year.
