China (X units), Italy (X units) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X units) were the main suppliers of semiconductor thyristor imports to Iran, together comprising 63% of total imports. The United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong SAR, France and Germany lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 26%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for the United Arab Emirates (with a CAGR of +27.3%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, France ($X), China ($X) and the United Arab Emirates ($X) constituted the largest semiconductor thyristor suppliers to Iran, together accounting for 58% of total imports.
