Sparkling Wine Market Size in Iran

The Iranian sparkling wine market rose modestly to $X in 2022, surging by 4.8% against the previous year. In general, consumption recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the market reached the peak level at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, consumption remained at a lower figure.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 86% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. In 2022, Denmark (X litres) constituted the largest supplier of sparkling wine to Iran, with a 32% share of total imports. Moreover, sparkling wine imports from Denmark exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, France (X litres), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by the Netherlands (X litres), with a 4.1% share.

The average sparkling wine import price stood at $X per litre in 2022, shrinking by -18.2% against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated pronounced growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, sparkling wine import price increased by +99.8% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 58%.
