The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when exports increased by 486% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Kazakhstan (X tons) was the main destination for concrete tile exports from Iran, with a 85% share of total exports. Moreover, concrete tile exports to Kazakhstan exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Armenia (X tons), sevenfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Azerbaijan (X tons), with a 1.5% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Kazakhstan totaled +104.5%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Armenia (+88.3% per year) and Azerbaijan (-15.0% per year).

The second position in the ranking was held by Armenia ($X), with a 17% share of total exports. It was followed by Azerbaijan, with a 2.5% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Kazakhstan totaled +82.9%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Armenia (+41.3% per year) and Azerbaijan (-17.7% per year).

Overall, imports, however, showed a sharp decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 103%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, concrete tile imports surged to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a precipitous shrinkage. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

Turkey (X tons), Italy (X tons) and India (X tons) were the main suppliers of concrete tile imports to Iran, with a combined 73% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for India (with a CAGR of +12.2%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

In value terms, the largest concrete tile suppliers to Iran were Italy ($X), Turkey ($X) and India ($X), together accounting for 71% of total imports.
