The exports peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Turkey (X units) was the main destination for tyre exports from Iran, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, tyre exports to Turkey exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Azerbaijan (X units), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was held by Ukraine (X units), with a X% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Turkey stood at X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Azerbaijan (X% per year) and Ukraine (X% per year).

Imports into Iran
Tyre imports into Iran skyrocketed to X units in 2022, with an increase of X% compared with 2021. Overall, imports, however, saw a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, tyre imports totaled $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a perceptible reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
China (X units), the United Arab Emirates (X units) and Thailand (X units) were the main suppliers of tyre imports to Iran, together accounting for X% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for China (with a CAGR of X%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline.
In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of tyres to Iran, comprising X% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the United Arab Emirates ($X), with a X% share of total imports. It was followed by Thailand, with a X% share.
