Over the period under review, imports, however, posted buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 270%. Imports peaked at X units in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.

In value terms, orthopedic prosthetics imports declined remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 181%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then reduced notably in the following year.

Turkey (X units), Belgium (X units) and Germany (X units) were the main suppliers of orthopedic prosthetics imports to Iraq, together comprising 30% of total imports. France, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Barbados and India lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 20%.
