In 2022, China (X tons) constituted the largest optical fiber cables supplier to Iraq, accounting for a 49% share of total imports. Moreover, optical fiber cables imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Turkey (X tons), threefold. The United Arab Emirates (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 15% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from China amounted to +14.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Turkey (-9.6% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (+18.8% per year).
