Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Canada ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Sesame oil imports into Iraq reduced notably to X tons in 2021, waning by -42.6% compared with 2020. In general, imports, however, enjoyed a notable increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 209%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, sesame oil imports reduced notably to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a buoyant expansion. India (X tons), the United Arab Emirates (X tons) and South Korea (X tons) were the main suppliers of sesame oil imports to Iraq, together comprising 89% of total imports. The Netherlands lagged somewhat behind, comprising a further 8%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in the Netherlands (with a CAGR of +107.5%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
