The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 114% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Iran (X tons) was the main tomato supplier to Iraq, with a 96% share of total imports. It was followed by Egypt (X tons), with a 1.5% share of total imports. Turkey (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 0.3% share.
