The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 441% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

The UK (X tons) was the main destination for mixed condiment, sause and seasoning exports from Ireland, with a 90% share of total exports. It was followed by Sweden (X tons), with a 2.1% share of total exports. The United Arab Emirates (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 1.9% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to the UK totaled +18.8%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Sweden (+61.5% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (+54.2% per year).
In value terms, the UK ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for mixed condiments, sauses and seasonings exports from Ireland, comprising 90% of total exports. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a measured expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -13.4% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 18% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, mixed condiment, sause and seasoning imports expanded notably to $X in 2022. In general, total imports indicated temperate growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 27%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.

In 2022, the UK (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of mixed condiment, sause and seasoning to Ireland, with a 69% share of total imports. Moreover, mixed condiment, sause and seasoning imports from the UK exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), ninefold. The Netherlands (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 5.6% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from the UK amounted to +5.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+7.0% per year) and Thailand (+8.6% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the average import price for mixed condiments, sauses and seasonings amounted to $X per ton, shrinking by -1.7% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 16%. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
