In value terms, preserved cows meat imports rose slightly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports showed a deep setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 27%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, the UK (X tons) constituted the largest preserved cows meat supplier to Ireland, accounting for a 84% share of total imports.
