From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+30.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

After three years of decline, supplies from abroad of telecommunications instruments increased by 54% to X units in 2021. Over the period under review, imports posted noticeable growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 238%. Imports peaked at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, telecommunications instrument imports soared to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a mild setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by 113%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

South Korea (X units), the United States (X units) and China (X units) were the main suppliers of telecommunications instrument imports to Ireland, with a combined 74% share of total imports. These countries were followed by the UK, Switzerland, Japan, Canada, the Netherlands, Denmark and Greece, which together accounted for a further 21%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Switzerland (with a CAGR of +110.5%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
