The United States (X tons) was the main destination for baby food exports from Israel, accounting for a 49% share of total exports. Moreover, baby food exports to the United States exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Ukraine (X tons), twofold. Russia (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 22% share.

In 2021, purchases abroad of food preparations for infants decreased by -20.2% to X tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, imports, however, recorded significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 238%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, baby food imports fell to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, enjoyed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 266%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Ireland (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons) and France (X tons) were the main suppliers of baby food imports to Israel, with a combined 92% share of total imports.
